The well known, completely electric Mitsubishi i EV was not only recently introduced to the United States, but the Mitsubishi i EV was also introduced into the Canadian market. Laird Noller Automotive in Lawrence, Kansas expects to see the Mitsubishi i EV soon. And, we promise you this little Japanese car has a lot of (green) might.
In fact, Manitoba resident, Ross Redman, has already purchased an i-MiEV (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle). Redman was the first Canadian to purchase the green car. His purchase will only add to "a number of devices that are eco-friendly, the latest addition being the electric car," Redman already owns, according to one local paper.1
Supposedly, several people from Manitoba are big supporters of eco-friendly technology. Since electric cars like the i produce no carbon gasses, the vehicle is expected to do well in the area.
You can now order an i-MiEV at dealers in Canada, with models officially hitting the roads in January, 2012. The completely electric car is a four-passenger, five-door hatchback subcompact. Its smooth ride makes it to a top speed of 130 km/h (about 75-80 mph), while making it 155 Km (about 90 miles) on a single charge.
The Japanese automaker has received numerous awards for their EV, including winner of 'Fuel Economy Leaders: 2012 Model Year' by the EPA annual Economy Guide.
